Archivists describe ephemera as documents that are meant to be thrown away or discarded after a single use. Those who find them interesting are drawn to the way they can illuminate everyday living and the things that are usually implicitly understood by the people who produced and consumed them. Life is complicated, and cluttered, and these tiny bits of information are the things that bind us as we struggle to live together.
